Wanaka Gourmet Kitchen is a family owned and operated restaurant, right on the lakefront of Wanaka, New Zealand.

We create great quality food, all made fresh in house from only the best produce, all served to you by our quality chefs and friendly front of house team.

Owners Tania and Sam took over WGK when they were looking for a new challenge after their previous venture, the Moeraki Tavern on the east coast of Otago.

They wanted to move to Wanaka (where Tania grew up) to raise their 3 boys and to get involved in the great outdoors and adventures that Wanaka provides.

What's the best part about living on a small island surround by ocean?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Seafood! So much fresh and tasty seafood!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ One of our personal favourites is mussels! There are so many fun ways to enjoy them! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ On our current menu we are baking them with a spinach roux and they are so creamy and delicious!
What goes together better than summer days and a strawberry rose?!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Our favourite local rose is from @MoariPointVineyard!
